Sarah Knop

Experience

Sarah is an educator, theatre maker, choreographer, artistic director and performer from Germany.

Her career started at the LeRan Performing Arts Centre in 2017 in Shanghai, China. As the course coordinator and teacher of the dance and drama programme, she choreographed and directed a plethora of shows. 

Next to her occupation at LeRan, Sarah was choreographing and performing for the Production Group 'The Hunters' in Shanghai, which released two artistic performance videos, one in cooperation with the Newbility Arts and Entertainment Ltd.

Sarah returned to Europe in the beginning of 2020 where she continued working as a freelancing theatre practitioner and educator, while completing her Master studies in Dramaturgy.

In 2022 Sarah started working for Basis International School Nanjing as a Drama and Musical Theatre teacher. During her first year at Basis she also successfully completed her PGCE studies.

 'Dejaniera' in 'Mirandolina' by Carlo Goldoni (2015, Hannover, GER)

 Singer in 'Push up 1-3' by Roland Schimmelpfennig (2016, Hamburg, GER)

Education and Training

Postgraduate Certificate in Education at Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge (UK), graduated: May 2023.

Master of Arts in Dramaturgy at Birkbeck University of London (UK), graduated: December 2021.

Bachelor of Arts in Media Acting at die medienakademie Hamburg (GER), graduated: March 2017.

Dance Choreography

Sarah started dancing at the age of four. She is now a professional choreographer and dance coach in the following styles: 

Musical Dance, Jazz Dance, Hip Hop, Jazz Funk, Tap Dance, Contemporary, Latin Style, Dancehall
